JOB PURPOSE:
The Mastering Supervisor for Digital Cinema operations ensures compliance to security protocols, that any issue in the Mastering Department is dealt with in a prompt manner to ensure the continuous flow of production operations and that deadlines are met. Supervision
of staff, troubleshooting, Administrative duties, testing, and any task requested by the Mastering Manager will be required.
DUTIES:
• Enforce procedures and assist in workflow implementations
• Maintain accuracy of WIKI procedural documentation
• Responsible for facilitating communication on priorities between Mastering and Project Management
• Assist with Training Program
• Address or escalate any issue that might hinder production
• Ensure security protocol
• Maintain efficiency and seek efficiency opportunities
• Test Mastering Hardware/Software, report Bugs and Feature requests to vendors, as well as, in-house Development Team
• Attend Meetings regarding Development Testing, Title Planning, and Mastering Team Meet-ups
Requirements
SKILLS and ABILITIES:
• Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work in High Pressure situations (Deadlines/High Profile client interaction…)
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrate leadership ability
• Knowledge of Digital Cinema workflows and standards
• Experience with Database layout and functions
• Provide internal technical support and respond to business regarding technical questions, provide critical thinking to solve and prevent problems
• Knowledge of Digital Cinema mastering tools: DVS Clipster, Doremi, Wailua
EXPERIENCE:
Three (2) to five (4) years of experience in Digital Cinema Production
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College/University or equivalent professional experience
