Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Pricing and Revenue Planning will report to the Chief Revenue Officer and manage pricing and revenue planning for all lines of business across Deluxe. He/She will also maintain all financial plans, budgets and forecasts as well as reports for Deluxe Entertainment. This position will work closely BU leadership to create rate cards used to sell business line services as well as Deluxe end-to-end services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Review all sales proposals to ensure optimal use of Deluxe services
• Develop price modeling and optimization reviews and provide insight and guidance to global and regional leadership teams
• Prepare and deliver analyses measuring results of global and regional pricing programs as well as modeling and forecasts of strategic plans, including impact on sales, cost of services, gross margins.
• Collaborate with regions and global pricing analysts to drive pricing planning, implementation and performance; ensure effective pricing execution operations.
• Develop price models for review and provide insight and guidance to Sales teams. Make spot pricing recommendations to Sales and Operation teams.
• Research and analyze historical data, develop cost models to support proposal efforts.
• Analyze pricing scenarios and provide deal pricing aligned with corporate strategy and revenue targets.
• Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders (including Sales, Finance, and Operations) to understand their needs and requirements during the deal review process.
• Implement upfront rate cards. Coordinate the efforts of BU Sales team to establish selling structure for the rate card. Manage the execution of that structure in Salesforce.
• Work with sales teams to reconcile information in Salesforce.
• Interact routinely with BU Sales teams to create special packaging of Deluxe services to achieve and exceed stated revenue budget goals.
• Creation of periodic revenue models for pricing of remainder inventory to assist BU Sales teams in establishing pricing levels for new business.
• Assess ongoing systems, operational and servicing needs to maintain industry service standards.
• Monitor annual ad sales budgets utilizing revenue-tracking systems.
• Preparation of weekly sales pacing report and revenue forecasting.
• Coordinate reporting to Finance team weekly.
Education/Experience
• BS, Finance preferred; MBA preferred
• 4-6 years minimum working in Pricing and Planning at an entertainment post-production company, national broadcast or cable network.
• Collaborative ability to lead non-reporting staff across many functions and departments to work together.
• Demonstrated ability to work in an environment requiring high level of flexibility, energy and commitment.
• Ability to work well with financials, expense and revenue budgets. Forecasting skills and financial modeling essential for position.
• Worked cross-departmental and demonstrated successful project completion.
• Worked with a sales department either directly in management or cross departmentally.
• Proven experience at a senior level as an advisor to C-Suite executives
• The ability to drive new initiatives from inception to completion while maintaining existing business operations
• Ability to manage a department with mixed levels of skills and experience
• Ability to lead, influence and communicate across the organization
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong technical computer skills: Expert user of Excel and Power Point.
