We have an opening for a Manager of North American Facility Engineering Operations. This position will be located in Burbank, CA and reports to the Director of Global Location Operations.
SUMMARY:
The Manager of North American Facility Engineering Operations is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and supervising physical operations projects for our network of North American Deluxe facilities in both the United States and Canada. The scope
includes projects related to construction, maintenance, service, repair, and rebuild of location infrastructure, building equipment and HVAC systems. The Manager will work with the Deluxe facility leadership, landlords, building management, general contractors,
architects, moving companies, engineering firms and Deluxe business leadership to provide a safe, secure and clean environment for Deluxe's staff.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role is an individual contributor role, coordinating with the local facility leadership to:
• Prioritize building needs, prepare requests for proposals, summarize responses and recommend contractors for various construction projects.
• Develop repair and maintenance budgets. Assist in the forecasting, scoping and execution of budgets.

• Plan and manage construction contracts to meet project milestones and complete projects on time and on budget. Coordinate multiple construction projects simultaneously.
• Read architectural plans, suggest changes and value engineer the proposed designs to save the company money. Able to prepare shop drawings in advance of building
• Execute closures of locations, including disposition of all assets, returning building in condition as described in terms of lease, and shut down of utilities, employee badges, etc.
• Monitor service warranty contracts. Evaluate equipment performance and service warranty issues for capital equipment.
• Coordinate and execute all employee/workspace moves.
• Manage physical building operations including the assurance of proper operation, service and maintenance of heating system, air conditioning, plumbing, water system, gas, electrical, and mechanical.
• Assure proper repair and development of building carpentry, painting, plastering, and refinishing including the schedule of repairs, maintenance and preventative maintenance. Coordinate work of Maintenance with other departments so as not to interrupt normal
business activities.
• Inform corporate and business unit management on facility conditions, responsibilities and decisions.
• Work with facility/office managers to trouble shoot issues as they arise.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, experience, and skill-set:
Required Skills:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. A degree in the construction or engineering or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in construction, facilities, maintenance or operations, with a proven track record in leading successful teams.
• Experience with construction/special project business cases, project tracking and cost management tools.
• Capable of working without close supervision and to set one's own priorities.
• Able to communicate skillfully and professionally with Deluxe team members and external vendors.
• Adept at analyzing problems and recommending solutions.
• Awareness of physical and digital security procedures in order to work with and maintain confidential and company sensitive information.
• Must be willing to work overtime and weekends for high-risk projects or emergencies as needed.
• Intermediate user of MS Office, including Excel, Word, Powerpoint.
Recommended Skills:
• Experience in the media and entertainment industry.
• Experience in implementing central processes.
• An understanding of OSHA regulations and local building codes and requirements.
• Experience in Environmental, Health and Safety programs.
• Ability to travel to North American locations.
• Bilingual (English / Spanish) is a plus.
