Production Planning: Supervise day to day project activity, monitor workload assignments, workflow developments, financial reporting and overall project integration within the Exposition post studio.
Customer Service: Build and maintain client relationships with new and existing business by fielding inquiries and establishing confidence with our customers for the feature finishing services.
Team Leadership: Lead feature production and resources team; artists, operators, project managers, coordinators and admin assistants.
Communication: Foster internal and external communications to keep employees and clients informed of ongoing initiatives and activities.
Production Supervision: In conjunction with the Resource Manager, oversee the feature finishing services on the 3401 Exposition campus, with a focus on leading the project management team. Mentor and train producers to meet a high standard of customer service.
Troubleshoot technical challenges and revise project workflows based on the client's needs. Distribute work assignments and provide assistance during integral parts of the finishing process.
Workflow Development: Organize camera tests in preparation for principal photography, VFX and the finishing pipe. Develop and communicate workflows specific to filmmaker's/studio objectives. Maintain a strong working knowledge of all new technology, such as
Portal web tools, HDR and 16bit workflow. In addition, maintain best practices for 4K, 2D, 3D and UHD.
Cost Reporting: Oversee timeliness of actualization and pre-invoicing of in progress jobs. Ensure project management staff distributes weekly Bid v Actual reports and status reports through our Portal web tools to all clients. Confirm overages are approved
and communicated, and PO's are procured prior to work continuation.
Financial Planning: Work in conjunction with Finance and Billing teams to forecast revenue and develop annual budgets. Review and monitor operating expenses against revenue targets.
Customer Relations: Field customer inquiries, issues and workflow questions, assisting, sales team with the handoff integration to production. Help secure new opportunities with sales and maintain strong relationships with existing client base.
10 years of post-production experience
2-3 years of management experience
Knowledgeable of feature post production practices for 4K,16bit, HDR, 3D and visual effects.
Strong understanding of acquisition (camera) formats and data centric workflows.
Exposure to mainstream filmmakers and Hollywood culture.
A self- starter, detailed oriented and capable of working well under deadline driven timelines.
BUSINESS SYSTEM EXPERIENCE:
ScheduAll or Xytech Preferred (not required)
Proficient with web applications and web tools and portals for job management
