Deluxe has an immediate opening in Culver City for a Sr Digital Intermediate Producer, Longform.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Production Operations: Supervise day to day project activity and resources to insure projects are rolling through the studio without issues. Identify redundancies, monitor workflow improvements and provide additional support to the production team as required.
Customer Service: Build and maintain client relationships with new and existing business by fielding inquiries and establishing confidence with the feature finishing services.
Team Leadership: Supervise feature production team, includes project scheduling and balancing work assignments.
Communication: Foster internal and external communications to keep employees and clients informed of ongoing activities.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Production Supervision: Oversee the project management team, distribute work assignments and provide assistance during integral parts of the finishing process. Troubleshoot technical problems and revise project workflow based on the client's needs.
Operational Supervision: Prioritize resources and resolve conflicts to facilitate project deadlines and daily session requirements.
Project Management & Development: Organize camera tests in preparation for principal photography, VFX and finishing pipe. Tailor workflows to specific filmmakers/studio objectives. I.e., 3D, 16bit, HDR, and establish a working process in conjunction with our engineering team prior to assigning to a project manager. Handle gap coverage for project management or take on assignments as needed to satisfy client needs.
Cost Reporting: Oversee the distribution of weekly BvA and status reports to clients, confirm overages are approved and communicated, and PO 's or approvals are obtained prior to work continuation.
Customer Relations: Field customer inquiries, issues and workflow questions. Maintain forward facing contact with clients, and guide the sales team with project hand-offs to production.
REQUIRMENTS/BACKGROUND:
10 years of post-production experience.
2-3 years of management experience.
Knowledgeable of feature post production practices, visual effects, data centric workflows and distribution deliverables.
Accustomed to working with mainstream filmmakers and within the 'Hollywood' culture.
A self- starter, detailed oriented and capable of working well under pressure.
BUSINESS SYSTEM EXPERIENCE:
Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook proficiency
ScheduAll or Xytech Preferred.
Proficient with web applications and portals for job management
Operational knowledge of Black Magic Resolve/DVS Clipster/ Autodesk Flame/Baselight
