DeFranco Creative is looking for an Editor / Shooter to film and edit original video content and for web distribution. The ideal candidate must possess strong Final Cut Pro 7, Photoshop, and DLSR shooting skills, as well as creative storytelling chops and comedic timing to create numerous shows of varying formats (host-scripted, unscripted-discussion, behind the scenes, field & studio production). In addition, we're looking for someone with a high-level of self-sufficiency, strong collaboration & communication skills and able to adapt to changing show styles, schedules and feedback.
This position reports to the show Producer and is located in Woodland Hills, CA.
Responsibilities include:
• Shoot content with talent on various sets
• Edit videos in accordance with brand style and technical specs
• Turn videos around quickly (turnaround times range from 2 hours to 2 days)
• Work closely with show teams for direction and to address any creative and QC revisions
• Capture, source and animate additional images, video and assets as needed
• Select appropriate music & sound effects and prepare final audio for export
• Create video thumbnails, GIFs, and other new media ancillaries for upload
• Upload, annotate, and social videos across multiple platforms
• Archive, organize and template projects to streamline production as necessary
• Work on special promo initiatives, remote event coverage or other duties as assigned
