Dana Foglia Dance, a professional dance company based in Los Angeles, is seeking an experienced Executive Producer to join the team. Candidate will work with Artistic Director and choreographer, Dana Foglia, to identify new and unique opportunities for future projects, which are in line with DFD's brand and vision. This person must have proven record of success in producing and promoting live performances and tours.
Key Responsibilites
· Identify new business opportunities, including domestic and international appearances, participation in high-profile festivals, and self-produced performances.
· Identify potential sponsors or corporate partners and lead proposal development process from beginning to end including developing relationships, pitching, and sales / negotiation
· Oversee all departmental budgets, including artists, vendors, staff, marketing, travel, etc.
· Negotiate competitive salary packages for invitational appearances and performances
· Achieve revenue and profit goals for self-produced productions
· Help develop additional revenue streams
Skills & Experience:
· Must have excellent comprehension of all aspects of dance / performance production (management, planning, scheduling, budgeting, staffing, design, visual and digital marketing, audio, video, licensing).
· Must have good sense of current trends in the live event industry, including venues, production companies, concert dance, dj events, tours, electronic music festivals; i.e. able to identify places where DFD can raise their profile / reach a new and broader audience.
· Must have good communication skills, balanced decisiveness, and clarity in judgment and establishing priorities.
· Must be familiar with standard project accounting procedures.
· Previous experience serving as a Senior VP / Studio Head / Executive Producer for live productions with a budget of greater than $200k.
· Strong leadership and organizational skills.
· Extensive rolodex and ability to leverage connections to achieve production and business goals
· Passionate about audience engagement, dance, music, and creating an experience for DFD fans that is unlike anything they have seen before…
