Daily Blast Live is now accepting resumes for a full time Production Assistant. The Production Assistant position is responsible for assisting the production team with coverage of breaking news and internet trends and all production needs from our Denver, Colorado studios. Production Assistant will work under the direction of the EIC and Production Manager and will be assigned a variety of duties, both big and small. Must be a self-starter and a team player with a no job too small attitude. We are looking for positive upbeat people that are excited to be a part of a brand new daytime television show. Experience in news/daytime/reality strongly preferred. Looking to break into the television industry? In Denver, CO? This is your chance.
Responsibilities:
Provides support to production manager, producers, associate producers on live/taped productions
Screens, logs and transcribes clips for shows packages and highlights
Assists research department for event productions
Works with multiple departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials
Adheres to production department procedures
Willing to tackle any tasks including runs outside of the office for food and supplies
Able to be on time and ready to work, any time of day, as required
Qualifications:
Must be local to Denver, CO
Strong knowledge of local, national, and international news
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary
Self motivated with ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Demonstrated leadership qualities
Ability to work quickly and accurately under tight deadlines
Ability to positively collaborate with production team
Familiarity with control room production procedures and broadcast equipment
Willing to work the possibility of long hours including nights
Previous television experience preferred
May require ability to lift up to 30 pounds
Valid driver's license
