International TV Production Company seeks a F/T Video Journalist who is bilingual in Spanish to join our dynamic team. Video Journalist will assist in production of weekly doc series, but also help oversee a longer-form documentary. Ideally, applicant will be willing to get their hands dirty- plus travel! Skilled in French is a big plus.
Requirements:
must be a Permanent Resident or Citizen; unfortunately, work permits & visas cannot be honored at this time
- work closely with Producer to assess overall vision for your projects
- pre-production: research; develop storyline, schedule interviews & shoots; assess & prepare equipment
- responsible for interviews, camera & mic setup; shots & camera work; direct crew
- must handle all post: footage transfer, rough to final cut; titling; work with sound editor; archive final cut
- fluent in FCP
- experience with Sony EX-1/ EX-3 or equivalent cameras a must
- Experience with Sony ANYCAST & Live Content Production a plus
- assist in occasional live event production & other ad hoc requests
- can manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines & fast paced environment
- must be able to communicate effectively and contribute to the team environment
- flexibility to work extended hours and/or weekends to meet project deadlines
- highly organized
- positive & flexible attitude a must!
- MUST be fluent in Spanish (French is a BIG plus)
- owns a passport & able to travel to South America... and beyond
- degree in Film/Journalism/Media or min. 2 years experience
