Role Overview:
The Marketing Coordinator will support the LA-based brand and marketing team, working on high profile brands in North America, including Teletubbies, Twirlywoos and Yo Gabba Gabba! They will liaise with multiple divisions across DHX Media in our offices in LA, Toronto and London.
Main Responsibilities:
• Support Sr. Brand Manager with the development and execution of marketing plans, working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, agents and licensees
• Serve as key liaison to licensees and partners to keep abreast of all marketing activity on designated brands and maximize cross-promotional opportunities
• Take ownership of internal reviews / approvals, ensuring that timelines / budget allocations are met
• Provide marketing & retail activation support, such as coordinating events, producing marketing collateral and brand premiums. Ensure each element is on-brand
• Communicate ongoing brand updates / plans / presentations to internal teams and external partners; ensure a regular flow of information
• Assist Product Development with asset management and provide expert Brand guidance to cross-functional partners on asset needs / creative executions
• Manage planning and execution of social media / digital strategy for dedicated brands in the North American market. Align with Global direction and guidelines
• Manage brand websites' content and CMS
• Coordinate briefing and creation of brand marketing materials, e.g. cross-promotional campaigns, sizzles, POS, consumer & trade advertising, social & digital assets
• Manage budgets, tracks costs and coordinate invoicing with Accounting
• Work closely with North American broadcasters to identify synergies and maximize promotional opportunities to drive tune-in / brand awareness
• Collaborate with broadcast partners to collate and analyze ratings info, to be compiled into an appropriate format for relevant cross-functional teams
• Carry out ongoing research on consumer trends, competitor analysis, broadcast & retail landscapes. Effectively implement findings to inform brand marketing strategies
• Monitor brand health, marketing activity and deliver campaign analysis
• Create brand guidelines and ensure all brand partners follow them
• Support with trade shows and trade marketing initiatives
• Support Sr. Manager and VP with ad hoc projects and requests as needed
• General administrative duties, scheduling, project trafficking
Person Specification
• 2-3+ years in a brand management / marketing role
• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing / Media / Communications
• Experience within children's entertainment / media / television/consumer products business. Focus on preschool properties a plus. Experience within a licensor is advantageous.
• Knowledge of the retail landscape (traditional and e-commerce) in toy and CP
• In-depth experience of digital / mobile initiatives and social media platforms
• Experience of working within a consumer marketing environment, ideally with or in an international role
• Proven experience of agency management and cross-functional partnership marketing
• Creative judgement, strong written skills and excellent attention to detail
• Commercial awareness
• Experience of budgetary planning and effective cost-tracking
• Expert PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills. Adobe Creative Suite a plus
