DESCRIPTION
The Human Resources Generalist I, must be an excellent communicator with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think of creative solutions in a fast paced environment. 1 to 3 years of Human Resources experience required. At least 1 year within the advertising, creative or entertainment industry strongly preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Full-cycle recruiting: posting positions, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews for the hiring manager(s), conducting background screenings and finalizing employment offers.
• Attending career fairs and/or networking events to attract a pool of talent
• Setting bi-weekly meetings with Department Heads to review a pool of potential contractors, freelancers and prospective employees.
• Keeping abreast and assessing the need for talent
• Orienting new hires on company policies and practices
• Assisting in annual open enrollment for medical and dental insurance
• Answering employee healthcare/benefit questions and communicating with insurance agent to resolve issues
• Responding to inquiries regarding company policies, procedures and programs
• Assist with employee relation matters
• Handling employment verification letters and correspondence
• Taleo database management
• Running miscellaneous reports
• Employee file maintenance
• Other HR related duties as assigned
