ROLE SUMMARY/PURPOSE
The HC Operations Specialist is responsible for coordination between vendor NOC and Crown Media Technical Operations. This role is also responsible for acquiring and positioning all secondary elements that play in channel origination. The ''on-air look'' that is so important to a channel's success is prepared and delivered each day. The specialist must meet daily deadlines which require understanding of master control operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Verifies on-air programming, commercials and promotions are delivered
• Builds and verifies graphic elements for linear automated play out
• Maintains and verifies daily delivery of 'As Run Logs'
• Updates air log and inputs data into traffic system
• Verifies the Hallmark Channel programs, promos, commercial and all other on-air elements with vendor
• Operates file servers, electronic delivery equipment
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Undergraduate Degree or Equivalent work experience
• 3 years' experience in television network operations
• 3 years' experience with linear channel playout and automation
• Recent experience generating and manipulating television graphic packages
• 24/7 on-call availability
OTHER CHARACTERISTICS/COMPETENCIES
• Must have knowledge of Imagine automation system and video file servers
• Must have working knowledge of computers and use of databases
• Proven ability to work in a high pressure detail driven environment
