Ellen Rakieten Entertainment (ERE) is seeking a strong, experienced full time Development Coordinator with demonstrated knowledge and understanding in the non-scripted side of the television business. This is an ideal position for an individual with a strong interest in maintaining a career in ''creative development'' for unscripted television. Ideal for someone who has a demonstrated love and passion for all forms of non-scripted/reality TV, with a strong interest in continuing to greatly enhance their career in unscripted television content, development, and creation.
Candidates MUST have prior unscripted television experience in the Development and Administrative areas, and a demonstrated ability to successfully interact with staff at all levels in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
• Successful candidate will not only function in a key Development Coordinator role, but also perform administrative and support activities for our busy unscripted television office. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
o Supporting the Team by: answering phones, rolling calls for the executive and managing phone sheet.
o Coordinating, managing, and maintaining key executive's address books and schedules, including organizing meetings, events, and conferences.
o Meeting and greeting talent, consultants, vendors, partners, and other department guests.
o Reviewing, creating and managing travel and expense reports, and submitting to appropriate internal parties for reimbursement.
o Managing development materials (trailers, clips, etc.).
o Other team projects and duties, as assigned.
• The ideal candidate must be experienced in handling a wide range of developmental as well as administrative tasks, learn quickly, be able to work independently with little or no supervision at times, and thrive within an environment of constantly changing priorities.
Required Experience/Skills/Qualifications:
• Experience in writing treatments and decks.
• Assisting in sizzle reels, gathering/pulling footage.
• Avid pop culture follower and television watcher.
• Strong knowledge of the unscripted landscape.
• Social Media Savvy - must have knowledge of social media platforms and trends, with emphasis on ability to maintain/update company information.
• Must be proactive and exhibit the characteristics of someone who takes initiative.
• 1-2 years' previous Assistant experience supporting high-level executives in an unscripted environment, either at an agency, network, or production company.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, take direction efficiently, and pay strict attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Mac operating system and MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
o Familiarity with troubleshooting issues with portable devices, such as phones and tablets, is a plus.
• Must possess strong writing and excellent research skills.
• Demonstrated ability to operate with discretion and interact comfortably with high-profile talent, executives and department guests.
• Excellent phone demeanor and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact well with others, and work effectively either alone or in a team setting.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime, as required.
• Bachelor's degree in Media Studies, TV, film or related field strongly preferred.
