CreativeFuture seeks a chief administrative officer. The position reports directly to the chief executive officer.
CreativeFuture is a coalition of 480 companies and organizations and more than 90,000 creative individuals encompassing film, television, music, professional photography, and book publishing. We promote the value of creativity, expanded digital access to legitimate content, and the fundamental right of creatives to determine how their works are distributed.
Responsibilities:
• Under the leadership of the Chief Executive officer and Senior Advisor to the Board of Directors, contribute to overall operational execution and efficiency of the company.
• Assist with routine financial and business planning activities, including:
o Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
o Manage and report on expenditures regularly to ensure CF spending is consistent with the budget.
o Ensure that monthly financial data is presented to the Chief Executive Officer.
o Supervise the processing of invoices and monthly expense reports.
• Establish and enforce policies and procedures.
• Manage all human resources-related activities for incoming, current, and outgoing personnel including: recruitment, contracts, policy compliance, and benefits administration.
• Manage and supervise working relationships with consultants and vendors for accounting, IT, legal services, printing, travel, building management, etc.
• Manage logistics for events and meetings including travel, catering, personnel access, and correspondence.
• Work with CEO and relevant other staff to coordinate the information gathering and preparation for quarterly Board meetings.
• Supervise the management of recruitment database including: data entry, list management, data analysis, and metrics.
• Maintain all external contracts, corporate filings, and related legal activities and coordinate with outside counsel where appropriate.
• Serve as the primary interface with MPAA Finance and Operations staff.
• Attend weekly staff meetings, and prepare staff for the weekly meeting by preparing and maintaining the weekly written agenda.
• Serve as the face/voice of the organization for visitors and callers.
• Other duties and assignments as assigned from time to time by the CEO and/or the Board of Directors.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree.
• 10 years of management experience or equivalent.
• Not-for-profit experience in a trade association, coalition, or advocacy organization.
• Experience working in a fast-paced and ever-changing organization.
• The ideal candidate is extremely detail-oriented, able to prioritize, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
• Experience in working with copyrights, trademarks and licenses.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Must possess the highest level of integrity with the ability to maintain confidential information.
• Highly motivated, demonstrates initiative and enthusiasm.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, iCal, and Google Docs are required; experience with Office for Mac a plus.
• Flexibility, superior work ethic, and a sense of humor are essential.
