Leading full service Entertainment and Media Agency - Legal/ Business Affairs Assistant sought for office of General Counsel. Law school grads, with interest in corporate law or candidates with a paralegal degree looking for exposure to corporate law encouraged to apply.
The Assistant to the office of the General Counsel will:
• Handle scheduling and rolling calls for top-level executive.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Word (redlining) and Acrobat Adobe Professional.
• Prepare daily To Do Lists for executive in addition to managing his follow up file and will determine which items can be handled directly by the assistant on his behalf.
• Draft, redline and edit highly confidential agreements.
• Assist with annual reports filings.
• Draft, redline and edit highly confidential agreements.
• Maintain minute books of the company.
• Understand the workflow relationships both of the Office of the General Counsel and the agency at large.
• Liaise with multiple external legal counsels on active litigation cases, subpoenas and contracts.
• E-file high volume of documents, utilize DocuSign.
• Access and run reports on HCue and other corporate databases.
• Organize and update hard copy files, ensuring all relevant documents are within reach.
• Coordinate travel itineraries and submit monthly expense reports.
• Occasional assistance with personal items such as making reservations, ordering event tickets through CAA, updating weekend calendar and other minimal tasks.
• In short, a proactive very detail-orientated assistant who manages the overall office for a highly busy legal executive and is comfortable working with individuals in a variety of roles both within and outside the agency.
