Very fast-paced, creative, high-energy boutique music/tv pr agency with many established clients ranging from the world of music, TV and cross over. We work regularly with magazines, TV shows, high profile blogs and websites.
Responsibilities/duties of intern:
--support business owner and staffers
--online media, blog and celebrity research
--tracking and clipping press placements.
--excellent phone skills—you will be pitching, calling for info, updates, etc.
--office organization—help develop and maintain pitch schedules and media contacts, help keep office running smoothly
--interaction with celebrity management, clients
Qualifications desired:
--previously held internship or relevant work experience required
--studies focused on pr/marketing interest/focus/awareness regarding music and celebrities (regularly read music and entertainment mags and blogs, awareness of pop culture and celeb gossip, etc.)
--organized, *multi-task* and detail-oriented, resourceful, efficient, flexible, ''can do'' attitude, ability to “think on your feet”
--good phone and follow up skills
--upbeat personality and strong desire to learn
--strong internet research skills and computer savvy (Microsoft Office)
--writing/editing skills a plus
--must be able to work a minimum of three months
