Entertainment PR Intern - PT or FT
Boutique entertainment public relations firm Costa Communications seeks part- and full-time interns to provide administrative assistance and support. Ideal candidates must be highly motivated individuals with excellent organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task and assist with all office operations - both administrative and PR-related. Costa Communications represents composers, songwriters, and other talent working in major film, TV, and video game productions, as well as worldwide festivals, conferences, and special events. Our clients have won Oscars, Emmys, Grammys, Tonys, Golden Globes and more. Recent and upcoming projects include Steve Jobs, Beasts of No Nation, Black Mass, Batman Vs. Superman, the Peanuts Movie, Creed, Mad Max, and the Jungle Book. Professionalism, dependability, and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced office environment a must.
Responsibilities and requirements include:
- administrative support
- ability to take direction and maintain organization of multiple tasks and projects
- management of to-do lists and business and personal calendars
- updating social media
- assisting in writing press releases and bios
- assembling press materials
- assisting with the coordination of media interviews and communicating directly with studio executives, agents, clients, and media
- ability to work well both with a team and independently
Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or English degree required.
Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and social media a must.
Knowledge of any of the following a plus: ACT!, Cision, Quickbooks.
Previous experience at a public relations firm, agency, or management company preferred.
Costa Communications is located on Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood.
