Intern - Audio Post

This is a Full Time Unpaid Internship

Cosmic Toast Studios, a full-service animation and production studio located in Burbank, CA, is looking for hardworking, focused individuals with an interest and background in audio post-production for an unpaid internship.

This internship will provide an outstanding opportunity to gain experience in many facets of the audio pre-production and post-production relating to live action and animated visuals. Applicants should be highly responsible, have experience with Pro Tools, and have a strong desire to learn about and participate in the field of audio production.

Job duties:
• Boom operating
• Assisting on ADR sessions
• Assisting on Live Production sessions
• Assisting on editing projects
• Pro Tools Editing (if you are qualified)
• Mixing to video
• Cleaning
• Running errands

If you don’t know what audio post-production entails, then this is not the right internship for you. If you are looking for an internship in audio so that you can write, record, or mix music, this internship is also not for you.

Applicants should ideally be able to commit 3-5 days a week for a period of 3 months, with potential for evening and weekend hours. Please respond to this ad with an attached résumé and a few reasons why you might be a good fit, including any other related skills you might have.

Application requirements:
• A completed course of study with an accredited audio engineering school OR a strong knowledge of signal flow and the uses and workings of all parts of a commercial audio post studio.
• A functioning RELIABLE vehicle and current drivers license
• A functioning cell phone
• You MUST have a laptop that you can bring to the studio to use in the course of your internship – LAPTOP MUST HAVE PRO-TOOLS
• A working knowledge of Pro Tools - the better you know the program, the more appealing your application will be
• The ability to communicate clearly via written and verbal correspondence
