Boutique PR Firm specializing in Personal PR, Events, and Lifestyle is looking for a capable Publicity Coordinator with experience to support our SVP Talent, division. Candidate must be a self-starter, able to multi-task several moving parts and prioritize multiple running projects. Must be an excellent writer and possess strong leadership and client service skills.
This person would be responsible for helping manage busy schedules, calendars, roll calls, answer phones, pitching to regional press, coordinate interviews with clients, do new business research and proposals, write press releases and media alerts, provide red carpet support, work to place clients in the press as well as keep press kits current and update media lists etc. Need a self-starter who is calm under pressure, understands the dynamics of a position like this and is excited to continue their career! This is a high growth position at a structured, fun, family-like office.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintaining and coordinating busy schedule for Publicist
• Answering phones, rolling calls, taking messages for Publicist
• Creating daily call sheet
• Booking travel arrangements and creating detailed travel itineraries (air, hotel & ground transportation) on behalf of clients
• Tracking press clippings and handling press requests
• Pitching to regional media for press tours
• Responsive and informative industry interaction via phone and e-mail
• Ensuring press kits are current
• Covering client events, photo shoots, press junkets, and all publicity related activities
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 1+ year of experience working full-time in entertainment and with talent is required
• Bachelor's Degree required
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Proficient in Cision, IMDBPro, Celebrity Intelligence, and other entertainment research-based programs
• Can help track Google Alerts and do media monitoring
• Outstanding organizational skills
• Responsive and professional written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to anticipate needs and be resourceful
