About the Position
The Sr Director, Web Product Development will work with all stakeholders to drive the Corbis Images web site direction and feature requirements. This position is also responsible for leading internal development teams to execute on the product roadmap and to manage the product through its entire life cycle in order to increase traffic, engagement and online revenue for Corbis Images.
Candidate Profile:
• Possess a strong product management background with demonstrable product focus and ability to understand trends, market insights and their effect on the product vision
• Skilled in creating compelling business cases that can evolve into solid solutions and robust product roadmaps
• Ability to alternate between tech and business worlds to both understand implementation options and constraints as well as understand and drive dependencies with sales, marketing, legal, finance and other non-technical teams
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment requiring demonstration of maturity, sound analytics and judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, and leadership which are essential to success in this role.
Responsibilities:
• Gather, analyze and utilize market and customer data and insights to be an influential voice in developing robust, impactful product solutions that optimize business results
• Clarifying desired outcomes and business value, articulating business and systems requirements and then identifying tradeoffs to balance business outcomes with technical constraints which optimize time to market and meeting goals
• Develop business specification documents and influence technical specification documents that deliver on the product vision
• Drive project/initiative schedules from conception to launch, anticipate bottlenecks and provide escalation management, as necessary and manage program execution through all stakeholder areas at Corbis
• Break down medium- to large projects into manageable, well-defined deliverables across technical & non-technical teams
• Communicate effectively across the organization, from developer to executive
• Foster a culture of collaboration, empowerment and accountability with project teams
Qualifications:
• 7 to 10 years of product management experience
• 4 years of delivering medium- to large software development projects
• Advanced knowledge of current project management methods
• Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle and methods
• Proven ability to lead teams and influence up and across an organization
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables effectively
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to interact with all levels in the organization including senior and executive management
• Undergraduate degree required; Masters preferred
