Group’s Purpose
Corbis’ Marketing team is leading our transformation as a digital media company with goals to maximize relationships with customers of Corbis while growing our overall brand awareness and engagement across our three main businesses:
• Iconic Content (e.g. our premium stock photography, motion and font/etc. collections)
• Breaking News (e.g. with over 10,000 news, sport and entertainment photos and videos that are curated every day)
• Entertainment (e.g. enabling brands to conduct celebrity product seeding and endorsements through embedded content, particularly for productions sitting in otherwise impenetrable spaces like HBO, Showtime, Netflix and Amazon TV; all done primarily via our Branded Entertainment Network (BEN) product)
Job Description:
Corbis is looking for a Senior Marketing professional to focus on our Entertainment business, leading the development and execution of actionable on and offline marketing and promotion activities—including branding/advertising and PR campaigns and events. S/he will develop and manage the dissemination of internal marketing communication and branding materials and partner closely with our sales and product teams to develop sales materials as needed as well as lead strategic and creative development with Corbis’ internal creative teams and external agencies.
Responsibilities:
• Create, manage and track the development of advertising campaigns and media planning for multi-phased media strategy including: creative briefings for internal and external/agency teams, management of media planning and project management of all work through fruition and reporting/campaign optimization.
• Partnering closely with Sales to develop timely programming priorities and updates to the marketing group.
• Working closely with the Director of Brand Marketing:
• Create, manage and maintain positioning for Corbis’ entertainment products and services, including but not limited to Upfront, press mailings, custom sales presentations and promotions (including sweepstakes/giveaways and contests).
• Develop a content and channel strategy for Corbis Entertainment
• Identify and manage all relevant events, speaking opportunities and conference activities relevant for the Corbis Entertainment brands and products
• Lead all PR activities for Entertainment team, ensuring maximum global and national press opportunities.
• Internal communication: provide material, reviews and content for all internal communications and senior leadership meetings
• Responsible for maintaining and tracking assigned budget including premiums and specific advertising lines.
Qualifications:
Skills and Attributes
• Excellent interpersonal and team-building abilities
• Ability to manage large, cross-functional teams for the successful completion of marketing projects
• Exceptional presentation and communications skills
• Strategic, integrated marketing skills; experience in partnering with sales organizations is ideal
• Candidates must be able to function proactively and effectively in a high-ambiguity environment with multiple stakeholders at various levels (from junior associates to C-level).
• Ability to achieve marketing goals within confines of budget
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work well in a fast paced environment
• Experience in managing third-party agency teams is a plus
Experience and Education
• 7 years demonstrating progressive responsibility in an integrated marketing role, ideally with network television, ad agency, music industry or related experience
• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field
Other Requirements
• Relocation expenses will not be paid for this role
• Role will work across teams in 3 time zones (GMT, US-NYC, US-LA) and must be able to adjust personal schedule to accommodate
• Approximately 25% of time will be spent on required travel among major Corbis locations: primarily Seattle and Los Angeles
