What You’ll Do
As HR Manager, you will provide human resources leadership and support to our Los Angeles, New York City, Provo and Miami offices. Main focus areas include leadership and employee development, employee relations, recruiting, performance management and employee engagement. You will maximize HR’s contribution to our overall company’s efficiency and profitability through collaboration and partnership with our senior management.
Essential Functions
• Support the people management functions that underpin the business culture and gain a deep understanding of our business. Develop solid relationships with managers and thoroughly understand their business function.
• Lead our corporate recruiting function by managing and maintaining our online recruiting tools (Jobvite, LinkedIn, Talentwise) and ensuring quality candidate pool and selection.
• Acts as a communication and integration agent in bridging communication of corporate policies and practices to the local offices. Partner with local office leadership to create and coordinate employee events to build and strengthen employee engagement and cohesion across our offices.
• Be an advocate and consultant with regards to talent acquisition & management, succession planning and performance coaching. Work with management to ensure that we attract and retain the right talent through recruiting, people review and development activities.
• Provide strategic recommendations to management regarding HR policies, procedures and programs.
• Handle employee relations and provide coaching and counseling to managers and employees.
• Support HR programs such as performance management and related processes.
• Lead regional employee on-boarding and exit activities.
• Work with managers to identify and implement training and development programs to meet the learning needs of the business.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Proven senior generalist HR Management experience in a fast-paced environment (entertainment or media industry preferred).
• Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines including comp practices, organizational design, employee relations, diversity, performance management and federal and state employment laws.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business, Human Resources Management or related discipline.
• Depth and breadth of experience in managing moderately complex employee relations issues, including change management, integration activities
• Must have strong organizational, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Requires strong PC skills using Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other PC Windows applications.
• Familiarity with human resources information systems required, preferably SAP.
• Requires flexibility and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and constant interruptions.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• The ability to seek out clients and issues in a pro-active manner.
• Intermittent travel may be required.
