Purpose
The Director, Marketing for Corbis Entertainment has a passion for marketing innovative products and services that help leading brands and content creators capture the attention of consumers worldwide. You will own the marketing strategy and tactical execution for Corbis’ Branded Entertainment Network (BEN), our brand placement marketplace, and associated services. To be successful in this role, you must be able to have keen insights into market dynamics, the needs of agencies/brands, content creators and our Sales/Content teams and apply these insights to a results driven marketing philosophy.
Responsibilities
• Be the thought leader for marketing strategies and tactics further advancing product placement as a critical part of a brand’s advertising mix and content creator’s production plans.
• Continue to position Corbis’s BEN and associated services as the unparalleled leader in brand placement.
• Develop and execute creative, results driven and cost effective plans aligned with marketing strategies. Plans should leverage full arsenal of marketing activities including PR, social media, co-marketing opportunities, digital ad buys and events.
• Work closely with our Sales, Content and Product teams to understand needs and develop appropriate programs for each audience.
• Increase the power of earned media media in showcasing the importance of brand placement and Corbis Entertainment’s key role in this market by overseeing our PR and social media activities and utilize as a critical piece of marketing arsenal.
• Partner with internal design team and external agencies in support of marketing objectives.
• Manage our Research efforts to help tell the product placement story defended by metrics.
• Support internal clients with marketing insights derived from customer data and research.
Requirements
• Has 10-12 years marketing experience, preferably B2B in the advertising industry.
• Track record of being a thought leader.
• Brings a wide range of recent and relevant global marketing experiences, with specific expertise in PR, social media, events and co-marketing programs.
• Has demonstrated savvy marketing and strategic ability in a global, customer-focused business that is regarded for its superior products/services and the freshness and innovation of its marketing.
• Very strong ROI-focused always seeking ways to do things better and more cost effectively.
• An undergraduate degree is required and an MBA is preferred.
Management
• Exceptional management skills in developing and executing sophisticated marketing strategies, tactics, plans and programs.
• Experience working cross functionally with a global team.
• Strong communicator, with strong written and verbal communication skills, who can develop inspiring stories and sell strategies across all levels of the organization.
