POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Business Affairs Manager, Rights Representation
Department: Content and Contributors Team
Reports to: Director, Rights Representation

Location: New York
Purpose:
This purpose of this position is to manage the business affairs of Corbis’ rights representation clients. This will include: establishing and maintaining strong relationships with the RR clients, acting as a liaison between the Corbis sales teams and the RR clients, evaluating licensing opportunities, providing license fees, and obtaining approvals from the RR clients, managing licensing revenue reporting, overseeing internal and external marketing activites, managing the social media activities of select RR clients. This position requires a unique skill set including strong sales and negotiation, creativity and design, awareness of social media trends and capabilities, marketing, networking and relationship-building, and legal/contractual skills.
POSITION Responsibilities:
• Evaluate licensing inquiries from Rights Sales teams, and respond with advice and license fee recommendations. Maintain contact with Rights Sales teams through completion of projects. Inquiries will be primarily advertising-related opportunities.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with the key representatives for each of our RR clients.
• Track and report to RR clients and to RR Director and VP regarding all opportunities and sales activities on a regular schedule.
• Acquire and develop a strong knowledge of the history, attributes, assets and licensing requirements of each of the RR properties.
• Educate Corbis Images sales staff on the RR offering and capabilities, and their responsibilities with regard to licensing images of RR properties.
• Provide Sales and business development teams with the knowledge and assets they need to sell the RR properties.
• Drive sales enablement through the creation of training and collateral materials and sales presentation decks and other marketing materials as required.
• Manage the social media accounts of specified RR properties. Establish and maintain an effective social media voice and presence.
• Work closely with the marketing team to effectively position the RR properties in the marketplace
• Actively promote and market RR properties both internally and externally via all Corbis channels.
• Manage and report back to RR clients all marketing activities on a quarterly basis.
• Assist in the evaluation and recruitment of potential new RR properties.
• Creative design of marketing materials such as pitch decks, brand books, mock ads, social media memes, etc.
Contacts:
• This position has a high level of daily contact with Rights Sales teams, with RR clients, with Rights senior management. Less frequent contact with Rights business development team, Corbis Images sales teams, and external cleints.
Qualifications Required:
• 5 years minimum experience in Advertising and Licensing with duties that included: sales, license negotiation, rights clearances,.
• Experience in marketing and managing social media accounts.
• Experience in reading, reviewing, and redlining legal license agreements, particularly those involving intellectual property rights such as copyright, trademark, and publicity rights.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills are essential.
• Broad knowledge of history, culture, popular entertainment and current events required.
• Must have a team attitude and be willing to work in a rapidly changing and demanding environment.
• Must be computer literate in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office applications in Windows PC environment. Photoshop
