Experience: Entry-level
In our fast-paced, dynamic work environment, the Video Production/Junior Graphic Designer is a key role within our digital marketing department. He or she will be responsible for designing graphics for use in materials including (but not limited to) website banners, e-mail blasts/newsletters, PDF catalogs/brochures/flyers, print and digital advertisements, printed mailing labels, signage, as well as producing high quality videos. Light photo editing skills are also required. Duties include:
• Edit and produce high quality videos in a wide range of styles (from interviews, web promos, product promos and anything in between)
• Liaise with Marketing Director to determine and develop creative concepts
• Create professional looking motion graphics
• Recording voice-overs and editing/mixing finished audio tracks for video and broadcast productions
• Generate creative concepts with our digital marketing team for campaigns and products.
• Flexible and professional enough to work with an account executive or directly with the client
• Maintain technical knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, and keeping up with the trends of the A/V industry
• Manage YouTube presence and analytics in collaboration w/ our digital marketing team.
• Develop innovative new video concepts utilizing social media for digital marketing
• Research new equipment and/or software to enhance department effectiveness & efficiency
• Production (in-house and on location), including setting up lighting, proper setup of microphones, dressing sets, shooting with DSLR, etc.
• Consulting with Marketing Director with regard to design style, format, and timescales
• Developing concepts, graphics and layouts for media products and creatives
• Determining size and arrangement of illustrative material, copy, font style and size
• Preparing rough drafts/storyboards of material based on an agreed and approved concepts
• Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements as needed
• Ensuring print materials (i.e. toner, paper, envelopes, etc.) are well stocked in-house for all print collateral
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelors in Film Production, Television or equivalent experience
• Expert knowledge of Final Cut and Adobe Creative Suite.
• A strong attention to detail, time management and organizational skills, and knowledge of the video production process/environment.
• Strong knowledge of digital video production in field and studio environments; knowledge of the video, film, and digital media industry.
• A great eye for composition and a great ear for audio editing
• Understands codecs, web compression and how to navigate the Internet like it's nobody's business.
• Insatiable interest in current news and social media.
• A portfolio of work samples must be submitted for consideration for this position.
• Strong working knowledge of design software, such as InDesign and Illustrator
• Working knowledge of photo-editing software, such as PhotoShop and Light Room.
• Excellent IT skills, especially with design and photo-editing software
• Exceptional creativity and innovation
• A willingness to collaborate and bring fresh ideas to a team work setting
• Professional approach to time, workflow, and deadlines
• Knowledge of Wordpress and FileMaker Pro is a definite plus.
• Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a sense of humor is important.
