VICE PRESIDENT
CONTENT/POST PRODUCTION OPERATIONS
Description
Supervise the Content Operations and Post Production team in the delivery and broadcast operations of all long-form and short-form content for various media channels. Implement efficiency in operational workflows and processes as it relates to the delivery of this content. Communicate and interact with internal teams, external facilities and post-production teams regarding all points of delivery, from initial green lite strategy discussions to final delivery to the Operations center. Document operations protocol and post-production guidelines and identify areas for improvement as they pertain to all episode deliveries across multiple platforms.
Articulate needs for International delivery ensuring sharing of episodes, promos and creative content with specific attention to the reformatting of audio and visual components according to the international specs. Organize and maintain day-to-day operations of content management and post-production teams.
Duties:
Oversee management of the content and post-production operations team: direct staff in each area to provide broadcast quality material for all networks and distribution platforms as well as organization and maintenance of archives, servers and media management resources. Oversight of all in-house post-production facilities
Serve as key tactical and strategic member of the operations team, maintaining clear and accurate communications with department head.
Serve as key contact between: Production, Legal and content-protection teams to ensure anti-piracy protocols and content protection across various media channels and libraries.
Manage and assign special projects, research, and technology requests to content management and post-production ops team.
Initiate and implement procedures and processes, which involve the organization and structuring of production's technical needs, both long form and short form.
Coordinate delivery and maintain file specification protocol with production to ensure proper delivery of episodic content
Identify problem areas and advise on enhancements to Advertising Operations, content delivery systems and working with Applications Development and Production Technologies teams;
Serve as the liaison between production and the Digital Encoding Service team for all digital content ingested into design software;
Work in tandem with the programming teams to maintain and update the production guidelines for long-form content;
Maintain the Post Production Guidelines site that houses the deliverable and specs for long form and short form content.
Work with legal to provide updated information as it relates to long-form production delivery requirements of original and acquisition content
Oversee and retain operations staff. Develop employees so they perform at the highest level and produce quality, time saving tactical results.
Communication
Serve as liaison between the various media channels and Digital Encoding team to coordinate digital deliveries, find answers to production team technical questions and troubleshoot any problems that occur;
Serve as liaison between the various media channels and operations center to coordinate digital deliveries, find answers to production team technical questions and troubleshoot any problems that occur;
Work closely with content providers on legal matters that impact delivery specs, music rights/reporting and third party images.
Required Skills:
Extensive knowledge of TV/Film post-production and visual effects workflows
Extensive knowledge of post-production facilities and technologies.
Strong communication skills;
Strong interpersonal and leadership/management skills;
Ability to establish workflow between internal and external partners
Strong managerial experience, managing staff on strategic and tactical levels
