Vault Manager/Assistant Editor Job Description
The candidate will be responsible for supporting all of our Post-Production activities. Reporting to the Post Producer, this position is a key part of both the editing process and agency services to the agency's internal and external stakeholders. Together with one other Assistant, this position represents the Agencies Machine Room.
This position is one of the primary opportunities for developing young talent and promoting from within. It is also a highly flexible resource for filling broad production and post-production needs.
Responsibilities (General)
• Support all Post-Production activities
• Assist on all edits
• Edit projects or pieces of projects
• Maintain accurate activity records for billing by Operations Manager
• Manage and execute all Dub Requests submitted
• Manage Archive, Masters, Outputs, and XSAN
• Manage all physical post-production assets (hard drives, cables, etc)
• Run voiceover recording sessions
Qualifications
• 0-2 years experience in post-production
• College graduate
• Strong organizational skills is a must
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Passion for post-production and/or advertising
• Ability to learn fast and take direction well
• Ability to troubleshoot technical problems
• Ability to multi-task
• Willing to work flexible hours (potentially including weekend days) based on client deadlines, if needed
• Excellent computer skills required
• Experience with Final Cut Pro 7, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, and/or other post-production software preferred
• Basic knowledge of video file formats/transcoding preferred
• Knowledge of digital video workflow preferred
