CLIENT OBJECTIVE:
Client wishes to hire an experienced, professional Tour Manger who has the performers best interest in mind. The successful candidate will have experience in running tours both domestically and internationally. Must be self-motivated, honest and professional with high integrity and a service heart. Tour Manager will ensure that the tour functions in an efficient manner, while providing outstanding personal service to performer and her family.
GENERAL TOUR MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial
• Handle tour cash flow (''float'')- per diems, fuel, runners, parking, stage managers
Advancing
During the advancing process the tour manager checks contact names and addresses, arrival times, equipment load-in times, sound check and performance times, any supporting/opening acts, and live music curfews.
• Advance all aspects of the tour with venues, headliner teams, parking lots and hospitality
• Liaise with venue staff, headliner's management, promoters, and stage managers
• Make sure our team understands and abides by rules and regulations (including any local union Mandates
• Secure dressing rooms where available
On The Road
The tour manager travels with the band on the tour. The job on the road varies depending on the type and success level of the act. A tour manager's day-to-day workload can include:
• Make sure performer's requirements are understood and met
• Coordinate tour routing schedule and any rerouting - airline and hotel bookings (under family's direction)
• Hotel check ins/outs
• Overseeing venue arrival- double checking hospitality and technical agreements
• Prepare and distribute day sheets
• Coordinate group transportation for the family and band crew (busses, runners, taxis, etc)
• Manage bus drivers
• Assist with backline load in and load out when needed
• Assist FOH when needed
• Troubleshooting unforeseen issues and emergencies that occur
• Ordering after show food for the band and crew
REQUIREMENTS:
• Have a 4 yr college degree
• Have verifiable references
• Courteous, discreet, honest and responsible
• Be highly organized with strong technical skills
• Professional appearance.
• Physically able to perform the duties of the position.
• Drug free and willing to take a pre-employment physical evaluation and drug screen within applicable law.
• Understands there is no smoking or drinking on tour. Prefer someone with non-smoking and non-drinking lifestyle.
