Assistant needed to work out of our NYC office for the head of a very busy Theatre (Stage) department at a bi-coastal boutique talent agency.
This is a fast-paced, creative environment, so candidate should be able to maintain a calm, professional manner while juggling multiple tasks at once. Candidate should be comfortable working on theatre projects for Los Angeles and New York. The ideal individual will possess exemplary written and oral communication skills, excellent phone manner, and an upbeat personality. We are looking for a reliable, self-motivated, dedicated and eager individual. Would also consider a Jr. Agent as well for the right candidate.
A bachelor's degree is required. Must also have a background in the Arts, specifically the theatre. Please don't apply if you don't have a background in theatre. You will not be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Answering and directing a high volume of phone calls (including putting out auditions accurately and corresponding with casting and clients).
- Track client auditions.
- Coordinate day-to-day materials (proofs, submissions, etc.)
- Assist with all aspects of talent submission.
- Interaction with agents, managers, casting directors and actors via phone, email and in person.
- Be able to interact with various departments.
- Handle pressure in a professional manner.
- Ability to make sound decisions quickly; use practical approaches.
Please Note: Only candidates currently residing in the NY area will be considered.
Hours: Office hours are Monday through Friday 10am - 6pm. We are currently located in mid-town Manhattan.
