International Screenplay Competition is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated Social Media Coordinator to support the marketing and development of a popular, established screenplay competition. The successful candidate will be able to effectively multi-task; have the ability to complete administrative tasks and projects quickly with little to no guidance; react with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require quick response or turnaround; and efficiently and creatively solve difficult or complex problems that affect people within the group or other related groups. The candidate will also have great attention to detail while still meeting tight deadlines, have great organization skills and have the ability to switch gears at a moment's notice. The ideal candidate is completely fluent in all social media platforms, writes movie and/or television, loves developing and interacting with filmmakers and screenwriters, as well as discovering fresh brave new stories and talent.
Key responsibilities include:
Maximize communication with our community through social media platforms
Develop content, written and visual, for social media
Respond and interact with our community through our social media platforms
Perform additional administrative tasks as needed.
Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of social media profiles across various platforms (Facebook, Twitter,Instagram, Pinterest, G+, Tumblr, Snapchat, etc) including copywriting, posting, managing the creation of social graphics,reporting and responding to our community of screenwriters.
Basic Qualifications:
BA/BS degree required.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Must have extensive experience in social media.
Must have a high degree of motivation and work well both as an individual and within team environment
Understand technology trends as it relates to Social.
Strong organizational skills required to effectively manage multiple projects at a time.
Ability to interact internally/externally on a daily basis to achieve overall goals and initiatives.
Ability to prepare ongoing activity and status reports regarding campaign activities.
Must have excellent communication skills.
Must have ability to use MAC & related software, including Excel and Word
Interest in storytelling in the film and television medium a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience as an assistant at an agency, studio or production company a plus.
Previous experience working as a story analyst, story editor, or in film development a plus.
Strong knowledge of film industry trends and players.
