Digital media company is hiring a freelance Social Media Coordinator to support upcoming projects including original series and feature-length film. We are looking for someone to create consistent, original, and accessible content for these projects to engage with fans and press. This person must have strong research and writing skills as well as an understanding of social media including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and Tumblr. The Coordinator must have some experience (e.g. worked for a blog, social network or online magazine), impeccable organizational skills, incredible attention to detail and knowledge of the categories referenced. This is a monthly retainer or project-based position and there is lots of potential for more projects and work. Projects start January 3, 2017.
Responsibilities:
• Generate original and curated posts based on Editorial Calendar and current events.
• Write, edit, and draft all posts for socials
• Grow and develop the social community for each client
• Create engaging online community initiatives for our client's brands and their fans.
• Manage and update the Editorial Calendar
• Curation of third-party content (i.e. maintain YouTube playlists, link round-ups, and social re-shares).
• Oversee all social media platforms by engaging, liking, sharing with relevant influencers and followers.
• Review and analyze analytics on an on-going basis to determine best strategy for future social media and content.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
• Previous experience managing social media campaigns
• Have a thorough understanding of all social media properties and analytics
• Have a strong eye for detail, and a keen interest in entertainment marketing.
• Basic knowledge of social media and content marketing strategy.
• Excellent writing skills and impeccable grammar.
• You may be asked to submit writing samples or complete writing and editing assignment.
• Use of social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and more).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Organized, discreet, detail-oriented.
• Must have experience in blog publishing (Tumblr, Wordpress, etc.).
• Experience copywriting and editing.
• Must work well under pressure and be able to multitask.
• Experience using Photoshop, FinalCut and other content creation tools preferred by not required.
