Role: Series Producer - Must be available to work in New York
We're looking for a seasoned Producer with experience in 2D animated television series to creatively oversee series production. Key responsibility is to execute the Executive Producer's vision of the series. That includes creatively guiding scripting, casting, visual development, storyboards and animatics, records, music and sfx, and final mix, while working within established schedule and budget. The Producer is the point person for the series and must be in control of all aspects of the production at any given time. This role reports to the EVP Creative and the Supervising Producer.
Skills and Experience:
• Must have experience in supervising or directing key aspects of series animation with a focus on visual storytelling
• Have industry contacts and a network of creative resources
• Must be organized and able to multitask in a busy production office
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Attention to detail and a desire for excellence
• Strong storytelling experience (scripting, directing, storyboards, animation)
• Strong computer skills a plus (MS Office, Photoshop, Toon Boom)
Main Responsibilities:
• Together with EVP Creative and Supervising Producer: lead editorial script meetings, head visual development, attend record sessions, launch boards with the animation studio, and review and help shape content through all stages of the production process to the model established during development.
• Supervise creative teams including animation studio, vocal director, composers, and post audio facility to ensure creative quality throughout production.
• Secure all necessary approvals, including those from broadcaster and creators (when applicable) on project.
• Act as a creative point of contact for service providers, broadcaster, and various departments within the company, i.e. marketing and licensing.
• Work closely with the production team to ensure that the project is executed to the established standard and that the project runs on time and on budget.
• Liaise with various points of contact, internal and external, to communicate key project activities and initiatives and provide visuals and other materials which may be needed for presentations, meetings, markets, licensing, web and other platform content.
