Search for Senior Bookkeeper jobs in New York-NY
We are looking for a Full Charge Bookkeeper who will have responsibilities including: AP/AR management, bank reconciliations, monthly closing, project analysis, and special projects. This position reports directly to the GM.
Job Duties Include:
- Prepare bank reconciliations on a monthly basis to reconcile with monthly bank statement
- Compare all income collected to client reporting, and ensure proper backing detail
- Prepare, deliver, and follow up on invoices
- Prepare and coordinate timely completion of analysis of all balance sheet accounts and maintain all documents
- Assist with the preparation and review of the annual budget, as well as the mid-year reforecast
- Prepare/manage special projects and provide administrative support, as assigned
- Assist in preparation of financial materials for quarterly reports
- Assist in preparation of schedules for the annual financial audit and work with the auditors answering queries and providing requested documentation
- Assist in employee expense approval process
- Keep track of sick days and vacation days
- Cross function-work with artist management teams on daily and weekly budget trackers
- Maintain quarterly artist dashboards
- Work with External Accountant monthly
- Assist in other miscellaneous finance functions when needed, including diligence on potential partners/acquisitions, negotiating 3rd party rates, etc.
- Process payables and receivables.
Qualifications: Management Skills
- Minimum 5 years experience
- Ability to work effectively with cross functional groups and executive management
- Clear writing and communication skills with peers and management
- Clear communication with outside vendors and client finance depts.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, work within a team environment and company culture, and willingness to work overtime as needed
- Self-motivated, self-starter, committed, and ability to manage many projects to achieve objectives
- Ability to evaluate processes and recommend and implement more efficient practices and procedures
- Knowledge of Excel and Quickbooks
- Experience in managing bookkeeping for small to mid-size companies a plus
- Music or Entertainment experience a plus
