A diverse entertainment company and producer of a wide range of television programming including awards shows, specials, and reality series is seeking a highly qualified Publicity Temp. The ideal candidate should be a motivated, creative thinker with education based in communications or marketing. Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills are essential, with the ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Must be resilient, good-natured and capable of handling all matters with absolute professionalism and discretion. This is an excellent opportunity to learn every aspect of the business side of the entertainment industry.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as a high-energy and professional point of contact for the communications department
• Support PR efforts for the company's roster of shows and corporate communications
• Manage and research publicity projects
• Assist with daily news clips
• Support with on-site activity
• Manage media relations activity calendar, editorial calendars and media databases including Mail Chimp, FileMaker and master media list
• Manage and research calendar of speaking opportunities and industry lists.
• Monitor and track media coverage, creating tracking reports on a project by project basis.
• Coordinate with internal digital team for posting of PR materials to company website.
• Post press releases on Mail Chimp
• Traditional administration support including answering the phone, scheduling and filing documents
