If you think this describes you in a professional environment, then we have an excellent opportunity for you as the Assistant/Junior Publicist for two high profile Entertainment Publicists- An SVP of Talent and a Partner at the firm. We rep high profile brands as well as Academy Award and Golden Globe award winning actors and talent.
The Assistant/Junior will be the right-hand shared (with possibility of promotion after a year to A/E) who is a go getter with great skills to be responsible for the following:
• Maintaining and coordinating busy schedules for two publicists and their clients (The Talent Dept only)
• Answering Publicists' phones, rolling calls, taking messages and keeping daily calls sheets
• Creating Cision Lists and using the software daily as well as creating press kits using Photoshop, Powerpoint and Word
• Tracking press clippings via google and other means, and handling talent press requests
-Writing memos and itineraries for photoshoots, interviews, long lead and fast breaking campaigns for talent
• Is Responsive and informative in client/industry interaction via phone and e-mail and first line of defense for the office
• Provides ongoing maintenance w/other assistants and staff in updating of industry contacts in Microsoft Outlook and media lists using Cision
• Booking complex travel arrangements and creating detailed travel itineraries (air, hotel & ground transportation) for talent for movie junkets, film festivals etc
• Writing press releases, pitch letters, bios, and event memos etc
- Available to help cover red carpets and events for corp clients and talent
• Covering client events and photo shoots with other staff
- would be pitching and helping with new business proposals
Requirements:
• 1 years of experience working full-time in entertainment - working as an assistant to a personal publicist, would be preferred. Also will interview someone coming from events, film, television and music
• Bachelors Degree
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, and working knowledge of other Microsoft Office software we use PC and can manage a calendar for two people and be organized, on top of things, enthusiastic and excited about the industry
• Professional, yet friendly people skills
MUST KNOW CISION AND MUST KNOW PHOTOSHOP well enough.
• Outstanding organizational skills
• Responsive and professional written and verbal communication skills
• Proved ability to anticipate needs and be resourceful
• Punctuality and reliability
- Must know Photoshop, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Dropbox, IMDB PRO and other PR Software
Must be extremely organized a happy person, wants more experience and opportunity for growth. Promotion to A/E after one year.
Our office is located in Hancock Park. You will share an office with another person, be provided salary, full benefits etc. The company has 5 employees, its a fun environment and we are growing quickly.
