Production Accountant needed for feature film.
Responsibilities:
• Introduce producers to approved payroll houses and vendors
• Establish accounting procedures and guidelines
• Process union and non-union payroll for cast, crew and background
• Invoice Processing
• Distribute, track and reconcile petty cash
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date cash flow schedules
• Match weekly funding requests to approved cash flows
• Coordinate and schedule cost report review meetings
• PO and invoice matching
• Data entry into production accounting software system (PSL, Vista, MediaWeb)
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Generate weekly cost reports
• Daily hot costs
Competencies:
• Demonstrates a general understanding of production accounting processes and procedures.
• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality, presents numerical data effectively, and is able to read and interpret written information.
• Demonstrates a friendly and cooperative attitude with internal and external contacts in a professional environment.
• Handles confidential and sensitive information and records with a high degree of discretion, diligence and good judgment.
• Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills. Listens effectively, transmits information accurately and understandably, and actively seeks feedback.
• Ability to take direction and demonstrates a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
• Well-organized, self-directed team player.
• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and gathers and analyzes information skillfully.

Basic Requirements:
• Prior experience as a production accountant
• Advanced MS Office Skills: Excel; PowerPoint & Word
• Experience with production accounting software packages (PSL/Vista) as well as budgeting/scheduling software
• Experience in film production and knowledge of tax, union, guild, and other relevant government regulations
