Production Coordinator/Manager
The Production Coordinator/Manager will assist in managing the daily production and logistical activities for a well known cable network. This position requires the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, diplomacy, professional demeanor and judgment. Must exhibit dependability and willingness to work as an integral member of the Production team and be capable of working well within all levels of the organization. This position is office-based (field time will be minimal) and located in Studio City, CA.
Candidate must be a motivated self-starter with these qualifications:
• B.A. Degree or related experience
• Excellent organizational skills, focus, and attention to detail
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and stay calm under pressure
• Ability to think strategically
• Self-motivated and flexible
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and work in a team environment
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Familiar with Reel Production Calendar, or another calendar-based software
• Experience in a production management department in the field and/or office
• Understanding of standard production protocols - scripted projects
• Familiarity with production and post scheduling
• Understanding of production insurance policies
• Familiarity with payroll processing and general accounting procedures
• Ability to understand and derive information from industry-standard contracts
• Knowledge of union operating procedures
General Responsibilities:
• Communicate with Production Manager daily regarding the status of assigned projects
• Request and review Call Sheets and Production Reports
• Ensure shows have current contact and distro lists
• Maintain overall project calendar
• Work with department production assistant to update, organize and maintain data files
• Ensure that all contracts, pickup notices, options, budget approvals, payments, paper deliverables, and wrap materials are being tracked and distributed appropriately
• Liaise with internal departments and external vendors
• Request and review cost reports and financial information
• Request and review insurance certificates
• Oversee all development script payments providing updates to Sr. Management & Production Finance
• Proficient in Market/SAP - Load all budgets and run all necessary reports, as needed
• Troubleshoot all P-Card reconciliations
• Approve and track all show travel; Interface with Travel Management as needed
• Interface with vendors and freelancers to facilitate set up in the Market A/P system, when necessary
• Track and approve all third party payments against cash flow schedules
• Work with Press, Promos and show accountants to manage any trial balance needs
• Track all required union forms and correspondence for each applicable show and start-up guild related forms
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor
