We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to manage the creation, execution, and follow-up of manufacturing new releases on vinyl and cd, on time and on budget.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate the creation of and refinements of album & CD art and packaging, flyers, print ads
• Work with freelance designers to obtain photo restoration and other graphics
• Collect original vintage photographs and artwork specific to the project
• Gather audio assets for release, and occasionally work with Audio Restoration engineer to create clean masters.
• Communicate with interviewers and interviewees for the purpose of generating interviews and liner notes
• Create, revise, input and maintain production orders and monitor transmission to factories; file and maintain records of purchase orders (POs); receive and track all pre- production samples and stock deliveries
• Provide general administrative support to the team as needed
• Build collaborative relationships with vendors and internal customers
• Perform special projects as assigned
• Format and print weekly reports for review with general manager
• Coordinate with freelance designers to ensure timely delivery of artwork in factory templates
• Maintain release schedule and be able to consistently meet deadlines for product
• Coordinate the printing of booklets, cds, covers, etc
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to work in fast paced environment with rapidly changing priorities
• Superior organizational skills and excellent communication skills; team oriented
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; highly detail oriented and meticulous
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
• Obsessive follow-up
ADDITIONAL SKILLS (a plus):
• General to advanced Photoshop skills, In-Design, Illustrator.
• Ability to retouch / clean up vintage photos, LP covers, for use on album cover
• Experience with box and custom packaging manufacturing
