Print Advertising and Event Sponsorship Sales Account Executive
Magazine/ Events/ Television/ Radio - Los Angeles, CA
Position: Part- time position 20 hrs a week. With incremental success it will lead to Full- time sales.
We are a media company with an extensive digital and social media platforms. We produce and own signature events, touring productions a magazine and televisions shows.
Our magazine, published four times per year, is for woman 16 - 24. This magazine is distributed throughout the U.S. and Canada.
We seek a professional sales person responsible for strategically cross-selling print advertising, digital media, social media, and major event sponsorships.
• Must strive for tremendous sales growth while managing day-to-day sales activities for a leading multi-platform media company.
• Create, present and close comprehensive leads to increased revenue, percentage of advertiser budget, and market share.
Responsibilities:
• Generate revenue through the sale of print advertising, digital media, social media and event sponsorships
• Proactively uncover new prospect categories and brands
• Consistently arrange in-person meetings and telephone calls
• Develop and execute sales strategy to maximize sales results and exceed sales goals
• Display strong follow-through and extensive client communications on existing business
• Develop effective proposals based on client needs and greatest sales potential
• Build, refine, update and maintain pipeline of prospects by proactively researching and identifying new category and brand opportunities
• Up-sell and cross-sell current accounts
• Create dynamic sales presentations/event media kits that creatively and distinctly differentiate company's media/event assets to targeted prospects
Skills and Experience:
Strong communications skills including writing and grammar is a must
• Extensive knowledge of all media marketing platforms and their optimization based on client strategy
• Ability to identify client needs, understand marketing objectives, and develop professional relationships with clients through effective questioning and relationship-building techniques
• Ability to sell face-to-face and by telephone through strategically targeting appropriate prospects and closing sales
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills in creating and building client relationships
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and pay close attention to detail in deadline driven and team-oriented work environment
• Strong national, regional, and local contacts with brands and agencies

Education: Bachelor's:
Advertising Sales: 7 years
Compensation commensurate with experience plus commission.
