Part Time Photo Editor
We are a Los Angeles based photo agency that deals primarily in entertainment news. The main responsibilities of this position will be to cull a high number of images down while performing basic editing techniques such as color correction, cropping, retouching, levels, IPTC data entry, jpeg conversion, and FTP transmission of images.
We work exclusively with Aperture 3 for our batch photo editing needs and are looking for a photo editor who is familiar with the program. Our material is time sensitive so you must be able to work well under pressure. We also want to clarify that this is not a position for graphic design.
The hours we are looking to fill are shifts on Fridays from 1pm-9pm and Saturdays from 1pm to 9pm. Please keep in mind this is a PART-TIME ONLY position, so please ONLY apply if the hours & days work within the bounds of your needs and schedule. However, there will be opportunities for more hours by way of extra shifts popping up, filling in for co-workers, or 'on-call' needs for special events.
Qualified candidates must:
-2-3 years of batch photo editing experience
-Be proficient in an Aperture 3 work flow
-Be knowledgeable in Mac based operating systems
-Possess a high level of organizational skills
-Be efficient, reliable and able to multitask in a fast paced, deadline driven environment all the while keeping a pleasant team player attitude. Time management is of paramount importance.
Additional abilities desired but NOT REQUIRED:
-College degree
-Knowledge of Photoshop.
-Knowledge of Final Cut Pro
Responsibilities Include:
-Culling large groups of photos for final selections
-Color Correction, retouching and levels adjustment
-IPTC Data entry
-Digitizing and ingesting video footage
-FTP transmission and server maintenance
-Work and coordinate with photographers
-Digital asset management (media management) |
