Overview:
Producers/Director who own a Santa Monica entertainment company are seeking an experienced personal assistant working from employer's Santa Monica office and home. The ideal candidate is very detail oriented and self-motivated with a positive can do attitude. Candidate needs to be well spoken on the phone as well as via email. Must be able to juggle multiple tasks at the same time while being efficient and precise. Knows how to use an apple computer, iPhone, Google Calendar, Microsoft office. Must have exceptional communication and organizational skills, clean driving record and knowledge of the Los Angeles area. Must be able to multi task and work flexible work hours (may include weekends). Must be willing to help with two teenage boys. Needs someone with great energy and positive attitude with a passion to learn the entertainment industry.
This is not a creative or production position. While there will be exposure to the entertainment and commercial industry the job is primarily taking care of general work and personal duties, house manager duties as well as administrative. The personal assistant will work with the other executives and employees in the company.
This is a salaried position, with overtime and medical benefits provided.
Duties include:
- Handling personal and business schedules for the 2 employers and their 2 teenage sons
- Office duties (which includes appointment setting, managing expenses, office coordination)
- Coordinate communication with other company employees
- House management duties
- Provide daily updates to employers on all events and happenings, both personal and business
- Occasional grocery shopping
- Keeping up to date calendars, sending invites, scheduling calls and meetings
- Booking personal appointments
- Lots of communication via phone, text and email
- Running personal errandsÂ
Requirements:
- At least one year experience working in the entertainment industry
- Must be based in Los Angeles.
- Must have a valid driver's license and own car with insurance
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; articulate and well spoken
- Ability to stay calm under pressure
- Flexible and adaptable to change
- Detail oriented, ability to multi-task by prioritizing and executing concurrent activities
- Ability to be a team player and work in a fast-paced environment
- Positive can-do attitude with strong initiative and follow through
- Great judgment and common sense
