This is for the company's New York Office.
Part Time assistant needed for 5 - 8 weeks during theater Award season season to assist busy Executive with East Coast clients.
Responsibilities include:
- Award Shows: helping to set fittings, arranging deliveries of suits and other clothing, tickets, credentials, etc for all client Award season events that the clients are attending or presenting
- Errands: being able to purchase, package up and deliver custom gift baskets for VIP's on behalf of clientelle and myself, pick up tickets, credentials, send packages
- Assist: in creating, monitoring and executing a New York publicity/meeting schedule for trips from LA to NY during award season. That includes setting up meetings, writing an itinerary, Handling confirmations, changes etc.
- Will also be responsible for keeping track and monitoring all scheduled and unsolicited press hits for East Coast clients: collecting them and working with the company graphic designer to design and service
- Data: Must have experience with IMDBPRO, Excel, Deadline.com.
- Requirements: Know New York City, live there, have an easy time getting around, have a love and interest and knowledge of the theater, is responsive, takes direction well, understands how to write brief updates and reports, and is great to communicate with
- Will also be responsible for keeping track and monitoring all scheduled and unsolicited press hits for East Coast clients: collecting them and working with the company graphic designer to design and service
- Important but not Imperative: If able: being available on Award show weekends to assist on red carpets as necessary
What is required is an understanding of being a capable assistant, who takes direction, and has the no job is too big or too small attitude. This person is organized, extremely detailed, and can work unattended, and be a leader and take control of situations well. This person would work from home, communicate via email, phone and text with LA office and be the eyes and ears on the ground. Interest in PR is a plus but not necessary. Need trustworthy, great work ethic, competent, reliable and very flexible to work weekends and be able to commit for this period of time.
It is 25 hours for the first two weeks and then 40 -45 hours the week of May 25th and Week of June 1.
Could be a great job for an actor or actress, as long as he/she can commit during this time for the hours needed (which will be discussed in an interview), a college student, and/or a young college graduate looking to get his/her feet wet in this business.
