Part Time Job
Seeking a confident, hardworking, and highly organized individual to take on administrative and personal tasks at a boutique music management company. This position requires a flexible and motivated problem solver with excellent communication skills and impeccable follow through.
We are looking for an individual who can develop an intuitive understanding of what makes our clients tick and is consistent, accurate, and systematic in their approach to work. It's essential to have a never-take-no-for-an-answer attitude and to be able to see a problem or task through from start to finish. The ideal candidate is interested in artist management and the wider music industry and is looking for mentorship with the potential to eventually take on management clients of their own.
Core Activities:
• Create and maintain calendars
• Liaise with clients via email and phone
• Assist with social media and online properties
• Create and maintain filing systems for correspondence
• Coordination of travel and accommodation arrangements
• Maintain supplies and assist with business and personal errands
• Tour advancing
• Create and manage online properties such as Mailchimp, Bandcamp, Big Cartel, and Songkick Tourbox
• Assist in developing company-wide best practices around tour marketing and social media strategy
Required Skills and Attributes:
• Strong, professional written and verbal communication skills
• High-functioning knowledge of social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram
• Knowledge of Mac OS and Windows platforms, basic HTML, Microsoft Office, content management systems (Blogger, WordPress, etc), Mailchimp
• Strong design skills including Photoshop and basic iMovie
• Self-directed and resourceful
This position is 20 hours a week to start with room to expand. Salary dependent on experience. The schedule changes weekly and is semi-on call. Applicant must be located in or willing to move to Portland, Oregon.
