Company is a dynamic internationally recognized music-company based in Los Angeles and New York specializing in commercial scoring, sound design and sound strategy.
Our busy Music Library division based in Santa Monica is looking for a self-managing and self-motivating full time Audio Engineer/Data Management Specialist position to start immediately.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Organizing and restoring sessions for composers to complete writing on compositions and tracks
• Creating audio stems from existing DAW sessions
• Encoding Operations - setup and QC of encoding profiles for batch processing
• Organization and management of data as associated to media files and work flow within department.
• Prepare & convert files for storage and archive purposes
• Enter high level metadata into tracking database
• Apply naming conventions to create filename ID's
• Coordinate with Engineering and help troubleshoot technical issues
• Report to Production Manager
• Assist with all production related needs
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Audio engineering skills a must. Music production knowledge is a plus
• Must be detail oriented
• Media management skills along with a good technical vocabulary a plus
• Must work well with people in an environment that relies on communication
• Experience with media and metadata management
Knowledge and experience required with Mac operating systems, Mac software of all kinds, Digital Performer, Pro-Tools, midi, various sample libraries, mixing consoles, live recording, various plug-ins, all audio file formats, and metadata.
