Busy media production company is seeking a team member to join the Music Department in a coordinator / supervisor role.
In addition to a passion for music and a deep understanding of a broad spectrum of genres, candidates should also have strong interpersonal, organizational, administrative skills. Must be thoroughly competent and detail-oriented in completing and reviewing cue sheets via Excel, SoundMouse, RapidCue and other platforms. Must have experience with clearances and licensing of Commercial and Production Library music. Technical experience with the development and use of online search engines is a plus, as is a basic familiarity with Avid Media Composer. Applicants should also be savvy with maintaining and analyzing large databases of information, and comfortable working on many different types of projects in a dynamic environment.
5+ years of experience in music supervision, clearance, licensing, publishing, production music libraries, or related field is preferred.
Responsibilities include: handling music clearances and licenses, tracking expenses, communicating clearly and effectively with internal and third party contacts, checking cue sheets for accuracy, vetting episodes for music rights issues, maintaining and organizing massive database of audio files, meta-tagging files as needed, managing high volume of user logins and assistance with the company's music and sfx search engine, helping with creative searches, working with composers on custom music creation, collaborating with Post Production / Production / Rights & Clearances / Business & Legal Affairs on all music-related topics, assisting the head of Music with additional departmental needs as they arise.
