Summary:
This is a day-to-day position that co-ordinates and manages the recording and production of music tracks, vocals and delivery of the assets and materials for use in an 52 episode Animated TV Program and it's corresponding Soundtrack. This is a 'hands-on' role that does not entail the licencing of music tracks.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage the recording, mixing and completion of songs and music assets to meet production and soundtrack timelines, approval stages, schedules and budget allocations
Coordinate and collaborate with music producers to source musicians, specialists musicians, vocal performers, arrangers and any other personnel required to produce and deliver the songs
Co-ordinate the sourcing of vocal talent for approximately 8 to 10 main recurring roles, vocal recording sessions and the delivery of final tracks with mixed vocals for use in the TV program and soundtrack
Co-ordinate with the music producers any pick-up, strings, brass and horns recording sessions
Coordinate and manage the delivery of songs and music assets to the production, soundtrack label and 3rd party post production facilities as per supplied technical specifications
Manage the review and approval process of the music by the Showrunner and/or his representative
Prepare and submit music and song delivery items including contact lists, song tracking documents, credit lists, final lyrics, label copy and other related documentation
Ensure all music assets are tracked and filed according to the production and soundtrack workflows and protocols (e.g. File naming conventions etc)
Create and maintain all music tracking documents
Help track music expenses and report them to production
Coordinate with talent to ensure music and lyrics are delivered with enough time to rehearse and ensure they are comfortable with the range and key
Attend recording session to monitor music production follow-up and documentation
Streamline stem deliverables to post production facilities
Qualifications and Requirements:
Three years experience in the music and television industry
Must be a clear and concise communicator
Attention to detail and an ability to multi-task, prioritise and deliver to schedule
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to understand the roles of many different departments in relation to music
Strong knowledge of the TV and music production and post-production process
Candidates must be open, cooperative team players
Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat
Must know how to use Itunes and Spotify and have a strong understanding of music files and terms
Must have a valid drivers license and reliable personal transportation
