TBD, a new emerging broadcast network run by Sinclair Broadcast Group and The QYOU, is seeking a Marketing Director to work on the development of marketing and media ideas to support the network in its ongoing consumer launches and activity in all media forms, including TV, online, digital, radio, outdoor and print. The position will work closely with the on-air promotions team, production/programming team, and creative department to identify, develop, and execute campaigns that increase brand awareness and tune-in efforts on behalf of the network.
Responsibilities
• Identify events and opportunities for elevating brand awareness and tune in for the network.
• Drive campaign ideation and develop marketing materials for all network media investments in television, radio, online, digital, outdoor and print.
• Plan and manage media buys; deliver post-campaign analyses and further recommendations for improvement.
• Work closely with production and design to establish schedules to ensure creative can be delivered to meet critical media deadlines.
• Facilitate approvals from the separate departments affected by material usage such as Creative, Legal, Publicity, and Programming.
• Create presentations focusing on marketing campaign launches.
• Manage retail partnerships and affiliate marketing initiatives.
• Marketing planning and budget responsibility.
• Set appropriate and innovative social media strategy, conversations/editorial direction and content for our viewers, execute strategies on the appropriate social platform, and utilize analytics to understand performance to optimize and adjust moving forward.
• Proactively identify social trending moments and platform behaviors that the network can tap into and leverage in daily content creation/conversation.
• Maximizing cross promotional opportunities with partners and sister companies.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5 years work experience in marketing/media for a TV network or TV account at an ad agency required. Extensive Digital experience preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with focus on being able to deliver clear and concise direction.
• Project management experience and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
• Proficiency in all Office applications, including proven skill in Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Familiarity with Google Docs and Apple applications like Keynote are an advantage.
• Proven ability to analyze media and demonstrate creative thinking.
• Demonstrated proficiency in social media and digital formats.
