A leading entertainment-marketing firm in Burbank, California is seeking an assistant for their full-service multicultural marketing division. The division offers a wide range of services, including targeted publicity, promotions, grassroots, creative, and media planning & buying. As a multicultural marketing partner for several major motion picture and television studios, the division primarily specializes in marketing entertainment properties to Hispanic and African-American audiences across the country via targeted publicity, grassroots, and promotional efforts utilizing TV, radio, print, online and mobile media outlets.
As a member of the team, the Department Assistant will provide support to the executive and publicity/promotions teams in helping execute film campaigns that resonate within the Hispanic community. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Handling administrative tasks for the department, including research, answering executive phones, organizing brainstorms and other meetings, compiling expense reports, processing purchase orders and invoices, planning/buying/sending client gifts, etc.
• Maintaining clean and up-to-date publicity and promotions databases and helping research and expand partnerships with new media outlets, promotional partners, word-of-mouth groups and event organizers
• Compiling information and updates from team, reviewing for consistency and accuracy, and submitting to clients in a timely manner
• Tracking publicity & promotions coverage across all platforms in national and regional outlets and collecting tear sheets, clips, links, air checks, media values and impressions for inclusion in daily breaks, as well as in weekly and final reports
• Developing and/or compiling publicity & promotions reports/updates/recaps and ensuring they are submitted in an accurate and timely manner
• Managing invitations and attendance of press events such as screenings, press days, junkets, and red carpets
• Assisting and providing staffing support for press junkets, press days, PA tours, stunts, screenings, special events, and promotional grassroots events as needed
• Pitching and procuring publicity and promotions coverage with select outlets on an as needed basis
• Participating in brainstorms sessions and contributing fresh, creative, and executable ideas
Requirements:
• Must be fully bilingual in English and Spanish
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills? (in both English and Spanish)
• Outstanding organizational skills and ability to keep focused when performing a variety of projects simultaneously
• Punctuality and reliability
• Able to commit to non-traditional work hours, as some projects will require late nights and evenings/weekends activities both in the office & off-site
