Los Angeles entertainment law firm is seeking a Legal Assistant in their music department.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, calendaring/scheduling, note-taking, travel arrangements, maintaining files, preparing, sending and tracking contract execution copies, proofreading and editing documents, communicating with labels and clients, processing mail, answering phones, and other administrative duties as needed.
The ideal Legal Assistant will be extremely detail-oriented, possess a ''can-do'' attitude, be a quick learner, and can multi-task with ease. Candidates should have at least one year of prior experience working in an entertainment company or a corporate legal department.
Required Competencies/Skills:
Able to prioritize and manage multiple assignments
Must be able to work well under pressure and complete tasks quickly
Able to handle highly confidential information
Extremely organized
Team player with a positive attitude
Exceptional communication & phone skills
Takes initiative
Goal-Oriented
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Must be able to adapt to changing circumstances
Special Requirements/Preferences:
Excellent computer skills (Proficient with Outlook, Excel and Word)
Prior assistant work
Research skills & Internet Savvy
Knowledge of the Music Industry a plus
Good Memory
Follows directions and willing to learn
Education Required:
College Degree
