Position Summary: Solely responsible for the smooth running of all technology systems deployed in the day-to-day operations of a fast-paced, deadline-driven technology-dependent motion-picture advertising (post-production) company. Reports to IT Director.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Editorial and graphics systems support - install, configure, troubleshoot Mac hardware and software including Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier, Avid, Adobe CS and CC, etc.
• Monitor and troubleshoot all audio/video equipment, storage and backup systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues for editors, graphic designers, producers, and other staff including e-mail, network and peripheral equipment.
• Responsible for tape backups check for media systems.
• Build, install, and configure equipment to fit in existing and new infrastructures.
• Stay up to date with hardware, firmware revisions, software bugs, codec or specialized hardware drivers.
• Responsible for music management software and storage systems.
• Assist IT Director with making hardware and software acquisition recommendations.
• Provide software and hardware training to end users and other IT staff.
• Responsible for equipment maintenance and upgrades.
• Responsible for hardware/software inventory.
Required Skill Sets:
• Extensive knowledge of Mac OS and iOS operating systems as well as knowledge of Windows is essential.
• Expertise with HD and SD workflows, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier, Avid Pro-Tools and other production and post-production software as well as all current audio/visual hardware and software.
• Knowledge of computer graphics programs - Adobe CS and CC suites, Cinema 4D, Font Explorer and AfterEffects and plug-ins.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills for computers and network issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills and ability to follow-through with projects.
• Ability to work independently, make good use of time and prioritize multiple tasks.
Ideal Candidate:
• Minimum of 3 years prior experience in related field of work.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Pro-active, eager and willing to learn and keep up to date with new technologies.
